Welcome Service Success

Last Sunday saw our first Welcome Service ever in St Luke’s. Held in the Hall, it started with coffee and some simple ways to think about the day’s theme of – Who do you say I am? The Service itself featured our Youth and Family Choir, a ‘memorable’ skit and an more serious homely delivered whilst the kids were doing some ‘colouring-in’. The event concluded with further refreshments with fresh scones for the 100 attending.

Thanks to all who contributed and came along.

Next month’s Welcome Service will be on 6 March at 11 a.m. – invite your friends!

Advent starts with a warm reminder

At at well-attended Breakfast Cafe Church on Sunday last, Nardia told the congregation of Christmases in her native Australia.  She mentioned that Christmas Day falls in their summer and can be as hot as 41 degrees C. They also have salads for lunch and may even go to the beach.

But whether, the weather is hot or cold, Christmas always warms us with the presence of Jesus born in our lives again. Come and celebrate that warmth at St Luke’s this festive time.
